Texas Gets 'The Hot BP Injection'...'Chemicals' That Is...

Nature has her methods of distribution...and they are NOT human methods. The deadly chemical gases that are silently increasing in concentrations around us from the 'BP Corexit Injection' into our water are invisible:

And guess what? No one is testing for them. No one cares. This is 'Drill Baby Drill' country- 'Bush Country'. Purchasing one's way out of accountability is the only use for scientific testing around here.

From the 'GardenGuides Website' on the effect of Benzene on plants:

Physical Damage

"In higher concentrations in the air, soil or in water, benzene can inhibit photosynthesis or block normal plant cell division and therefore stunt growth. Excessive exposure to the gaseous form can suffocate plants as the gas displaces the needed carbon dioxide that plants use to metabolize. In some plant species, if the liquid form of benzene is on foliage and evaporates, a "burn" may occur as the change in state causes a drop in temperature on leaf surfaces, partially killing tissue or leading to foliage dessication."

Death

"Ultimately, excessive exposure to benzene kills the plant. The exposure can be lethal solely through soil-, air- or water-borne means, or a combination thereof depending on duration and concentration of benzene."

Yesterday I noticed that a pecan tree around the corner from my house which I've been documenting as it's branches have lowered and lowered and LOWERED, has had one of it's main branches break about halfway up the tree. I would say the branch has a diameter of about 18"-24". The branch is hanging over a the roof of a local pool business.

The 'natural landscaping' of the business has been dead since early to mid July.

Later I went for a walk behind our historic courthouse in downtown. There, is an island which splits Main St. just before the bridge crosses the Trinity River. All save a couple of the trees on that island are dead or dying. RIGHT BEHIND OUR DOWNTOWN COURTHOUSE. Branches have separated at the joint- 4-5 medium-to-large branches per tree.

I called the FW Forestry division last week. There seem to be some very nice people there. They've been getting a ton of calls/complaints from residents, asking them; "Why the city is spraying herbicide in 'back yards'?" The City's budget is broke, as is the State's budget. The city is checking to see if TXDOT (the state) is doing the spraying- because the city is NOT.

Did I mention the gases aren't just invisible? Did I mention that they are odorless as well? The ones that aren't odorless actually smell 'fruity' or pleasant: http://www.gasstationnearme.com/alternative-fuel/benzene/Benzene-Toxicity-Exposure.html

This past Spring, BP's Texas City Plant ILLEGALLY released over 500 TONS of toxic chemicals into our air. 17 TONS alone was pure Benzene. http://www.khou.com/news/local/BP-500000-pounds-of-emissions-released-in-Texas-City-95688539.html

Of course such an event isn't even a blip on the radar compared to the vast amounts that BP just injected into our Water Cycle which is fueled by Gulf moisture. Smell anything 'pleasant' in the air lately? Or does it just seem harder to breathe? As if there were more chemicals in the air- and less trees making oxygen?

I wish I could take every one I know and get them the F**K out of here- to the other side of the Rocky Mountains somewhere, to a place with clean water and clean air.
